Tuesday (10/27) Twentieth Century Fox Entertainment is releasing Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs onto a three-disc combo pack (Blu-ray, DVD and a digital copy). Now I am going to be honest and say I wasn't a big fan of the first Ice Age. What I didn't like was the fact that everything in the movie seemed to be colored with shades of blue. Seriously I am a colorful movie lover so I was wondering just how this movie would be at keeping my attention. I.WATCHED.THE.WHOLE.THING. It was super cute and I liked it. I have actually watched it twice. My little guy seems to love dinosaurs lately so he was even liking it.
I am giving it a Midwest Mommy 4/4 stars! The daughter liked it, the son liked it, the hubs thought it was cute and I liked it.
You can pick up your copy tomorrow in stores or online. For a limited time they are releasing the Limited Edition: Scrat Pack Double DVD Pack (value $34.98).

Once in a Blue Moon (Review)

Thanks to the One2One Network I was able to get my hands on Once in a Blue Moon by Eileen Goudge.  If you like Jodi Picoult then you are probably going to like this author too.

Here is a little bit of info about the book:

Sisters Lindsay and Kerrie Ann have known hardship from an early age. Without guidance from their neglectful mother, their only aid came from an unlikely source, a retired exotic dancer by the name of Miss Honi Love. When the girls’ mother was sent to prison, Miss Honi tried unsuccessfully to save them from being separated and sent into foster care.
Thirty years later, Lindsay is still trying to reconnect with her sister. The owner of a bookstore in the sleepy California seaside town of Blue Moon Bay, she was lucky enough to have been adopted by a loving couple. Unbeknownst to her, Kerrie Ann has suffered a very different life. Bounced from one foster home to the next, she ran away as a teenager before becoming a drug-addicted single mother. Now, newly sober, Kerrie Ann is fighting to regain custody of the little girl who was taken from her.
Neither sister’s expectations are met when they’re finally reunited. But as the two sisters engage in the fiercest battles of their lives, they are at last drawn together despite their differences, restoring belief in the unshakable bond of family.

It is a very easy read that I enjoyed.  If you would like to get a copy for yourself it is available online and in stores now.

I was given this book to review from the One2One Network and no other compensation.

Lions! Review and Giveaway

This week Animal Planet has released on dvd Lions, which contains four wildly fun shows: The Lion's Share, White Lions, A Lion Called Christian and Rogue Lions.
If you have a love for animals I highly recommended watching this dvd just for the A Lion Called Christian episode. Honestly I had never heard of this story but it is the story behind this very popular YouTube video below.
Have you seen this YouTube video?

I won't lie, I cried in a good way. It is such a touching story. Also I had no clue back in the 70's people were allowed to just buy exotic animals as pets and walk around the streets of London with them. Honestly I couldn't believe what I was seeing at times.
You can purchase the dvd from amazon here. I also have the opportunity to give three lucky winners a copy of this awesome dvd from Animal Planet. All you have to do is leave a comment on this, any old comment. If you can't think of a comment to write tell me if you had ever heard of this story because I hadn't. I will let this run for one week and then announce the three winners after. If you don't leave a way for me to contact you and you win I will have no choice but to pick another winner. If you don't have a blog just make sure you leave me an email address so I have a way to contact you!

Good luck!

Fresh Deals

I was recently asked to share a site called Fresh Deals with you. It is basically a new kind of comparative shopping website. They list some of the best products from some of the world's leading merchants and they make it better by providing users with a forum to discuss the products you are shopping for. You can ask others questions about the product and get answers from people who are familiar with the product. Now I have discussed before my love for Dyson. I don't own a Dyson but oh how I dream of owning a Dyson. Seriously one of these days the husband is going to cave, I just know it. So of course the first thing I wanted to check out was how the Dyson rated on their site. So I did a search and right away I was given the current price at 12 major merchants so I could find the best deal.

At the the top of the search is a place where you can see previous questions people have asked and you can ask your own questions also. It kinda takes the hassle out of searching the internet and tons of sites for reviews and prices. It's all here in one spot.

So if you are in the market for something new check outFresh Deals first so you get the best bang for you buck and all your questions answered!

I wrote this review on behalf of Fresh Deals and received a gift to thank me for my time.

Text-a-Thon for a Cause!

Cancer awareness is very important to me. When I was 5 years old my grandmother was misdiagnosed with blood clots when in reality she had ovarian cancer. The doctor missed the window of treatment and she lost her battle a year later.
Today, Electrolux and Kelly Ripa are kicking off a unique “Text-a-Thon for a Cause” to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). Moms can donate $5 to the cause by texting “KELLY” to 85944 from their mobile phones (standard text messaging rates apply) – or by logging on to
www.kelly-confidential.com. Also, each day you log on to the Web site, you are entered for a chance to win a luxury frontload washer and dryer from Electrolux in Turquoise Sky, the color of ovarian cancer awareness. Also, Mom Central is giving away an Electrolux washer and dryer in Turquoise Sky on the Mom Central site! Seriously I dream of a front load washer and dryer. Just ask my peeps who were with me at BlogHer. They know of my love. So go enter and if you win you can totally gift it to me if you don't want it :-)

During September, visitors to Kelly Confidential can also help spread awareness for this important cause by sending a virtual T-shirt to a friend. For every virtual T-shirt sent, Electrolux will don
ate $1 to the OCRF. You can also purchase a limited edition T-shirt designed by Ripa; 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will go to OCRF.

Shows coming this fall & winter:

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Over The Top, an all-new live entertainment extravaganza featuring the ultimate tug of war between Ringmaster Chuck Wagner and clown eccentric Tom Dougherty over a magical top hat that controls the circus. When the Ringmaster dons the hat he conjures stupendous spectacles for his circus, like the stunt riding Royal Cossack Cavalry while the clown uses the hat to summon silly and whimsical acts for his circus, such as a cavalry of goats riding on ponies in a Barnyard Bonanza. They continue to top one another until the Ringmaster and clown realize that the magic of the circus is not in the hat but in the hearts of everyone. The show culminates in an amazing display of gigantic glowing rainforest flowers surrounding Chinese acrobats swinging on vines and propelling through the air. Over the Top is two circuses in one providing excitement for the whole family.

Audiences will see nearly 100 animals including flying dogs, Asian elephants that skip, hop, and groove, miniature horses, llamas, pigs, and even a performing porcupine. In a daring feat, the courageous Daniel Raffo stands eye to eye with a pack of powerful Bengal tigers. Circus celebrities help rev-up the motorcycle madness featuring one cycle on a high wire and seven speeding riders in a Globe of Steel. Extraordinary aerial acts fill the arena sky with a rare double-decker trapeze and the Bombastic Bouncers who combine gigantic inner tubes and awe-inspiring acrobatics in a high-energy performance never before seen in America. And with the audience's participation, this circus really goes Over The Top!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents ZING ZANG ZOOM®: Through the mystery of magic and the mastery of skill, audiences will be spellbound as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents ZING ZANG ZOOM®, a thrill-filled, mind-blowing circus spectacular where family fun is no illusion.

Magical Zingmaster Alex and his assistant, the alluring Levitytia, lead audiences through a kaleidoscope of color and imagery revealing extraordinary worlds of fantasy, flight and phenomena that celebrates the uplifting spirit of the circus and wards off a cynical Mr. Gravity and his team of "heavies" who try to bring everyone down.

Be mesmerized when a four-ton elephant disappears before your eyes, and a gravity-inducing nemesis transforms across species into a ferocious tiger. Stand in awe as a dazzling trapeze artist performs a perilous, anatomically unimaginable one-arm speed-spin high atop the arena floor, and two formidable, female human cannonballs are blasted through the air in a daring, awe-inspiring display of bravery. Become electrified as the dangerous double wheel of steel, the gasp-inducing high wire and soaring gigantic swings defy both gravity and logic.

Fun-filled magic merges with traditional circus arts to create a world of infinite possibilities where apprentice illusionists levitate their parents with a wave of a wand, and audience spirits keep rising as the high flying circus is (literally) turned upside down. Perhaps the most magical of all, watch in amazement as an incomparable array of exotic animals including a herd of majestic Asian elephants, magnificent Bengal tigers and elegant Arabian and Friesian horses join forces with our human performers to create an experience that will surprise and delight Children of All Ages, rendering us speechless and reminding us that the magic of The Greatest Show On Earth® lives forever in our hearts and imaginations.

To learn more about Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey shows touring the country this year and to find shows in your area, visit the Ringling site. And don't forget to use the special discount code when purchasing tickets online!

Jump Start

Back in May I was given the opportunity to review JumpStart online 3D Virtual World. JumpStart is educational learning software for children. Having been an elementary school teacher I was familiar with it but I had never used their online membership. When I first signed on I will be honest, I found the site very confusing and almost turned the review down but after working with the company they fixed the site and it is so much better now! BG enjoys the games and the only problem we have run into is BG computer skills. She's three it's a learning process but she loves it!
There are many places to explore once you launch the game. The first is an area called Storyland which is aimed at 3-5 year olds. They recently launched another area called AdventureLand, for kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Soon they will launch a third world called Future Land for kids from 3rd to 5th grade.
Here are some perks of becoming a member:
If you have never heard of Jumpstart or want to learn more go visit Jumpstart and take the online tour. Your kids will love it. Jumpstart has generously offered a 3 month membership to one of my readers (approx value $24). All you have to do is leave me a comment below. Any comment and you are entered to win. My giveaways are always super easy and super fun so please just leave any comment and you are entered to win. No following, blogging, or pimp work required! I will let this run for one week and I will choose a winner shortly after. The winner will have 48 hours to contact me and if I don't hear from them, a new winner will be chosen. Now happy commenting and good luck!

Smile! It's a Rembrandt Giveaway!

Are you a coffee drinker? Dark pop (soda for those who don't live by me) drinker? Are you a smoker? Or do you just plain hate the color of your teeth. Do you wish your teeth were as white as this?
Seriously, half of the time she was on The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars I couldn't help but stare at her teeth. Can we say WHITE!
So Rembrandt can help you achieve this pearly white goodness. They have an incredible line of products from toothpaste, to mouthwash, to whitening strips, to whitening kits. A lot!
This weekend I gave this 2 hour whitening kit a try in hopes of making my pearly whites whiter.
  • Clinically shown to visibly whiten teeth in just two hours for whiter teeth today
  • Contains a proprietary BIO-AVAILABLE®peroxide that starts working immediately on contact
  • The fastest whitening treatment available from REMBRANDT®
  • COMFYTRAY™ applicators mold under hot water to form to teeth and make for an easy and comfortable application
I saw a difference. It wasn't a dramatic difference like "Holy cow are my teeth white" difference but they appeared cleaner and lighter to me. The only thing I have to tell you is be careful when putting the gel in. If you get too much on your gums it will hurt a little if your mouth is sensitive or if you have any cuts in your mouth. Also as the directions stated, you may get some white spots on your gums but they do fade away in a little bit as they did for me. Overall I was happy with the results. My teeth don't look like Melissa's but I think if you did a couple kits it would work. I personally don't want my teeth unnaturally white so that is why I was happy with the results I got. Also the only thing that is hard is it takes 2 hours. If you have kids this may pose a problem so I did mine after they went to bed for the night.
Now for the giveaway, Rembrandt is giving you a chance to win a 2 hour whitening kit of your own (valued at $24.99) all you have to do is leave me a comment below. Any comment and you are entered to win. My giveaways are always super easy and super fun so please just leave any comment and you are entered to win. No following, blogging, or pimp work required! I will let this run until Midnight on Friday and I will choose a winner shortly after. The winner will have 48 hours to contact me and if I don't hear from them, a new winner will be chosen. Now happy commenting and good luck!

BG seems to love them all and yes so far they are not irritating her sensitive skin which is a good thing! I personally love the smell of the detangler, yum!
Here's a little bit more info about the collection.
Kiss My Face created a kids collection because they know parents want to teach their child/children on how to make good decisions naturally. Whether it is about what they eat, wear or put on their skin, today’s parents are teaching their kids the importance of choosing natural products whenever possible. Kiss My Face, a company that has believed in making natural products since they were founded in the 1980s, uses natural ingredients to create products that won’t harm the earth, or your skin! The packaging was designed to bring awareness of endangered species and the importance of making a conscious effort to help preserve the environments these animals live in, with the goal of getting these animals off the endangered species list one day.
I can totally respect a company that is willing to help out not only the environment but also bring awareness to endangered species. Awesome!

Post-It Say What?

Did I ever tell you I have a secret obsession with Post-Its? The night before the hubs left on his last business trip I snuck back downstairs when he fell asleep and went through all his luggage and bags and placed Post-It love notes on everything. I posted his laptop, I posted his socks, I posted his books, I posted his Zune, I posted his wallet, I posted his underwear, so you get the idea if it was packed, it had a posted love note on it. So when I was contacted to try out some new Post-it Recycled Notes and Post-it Super Sticky Recycled Notes.I was like SURE! The stickier the better to get you with my hubs!
Did I mention the new super sticky Post-Its are a fast, fun and simple solution to help you stay organized with minimal environmental impact. Post-it Recycled Notes are made from recycled materials that contain a minimum of 30% post-consumer and are available in a variety of stylish colors including tropical tones and natures hues. So if I can help out the environment and write love notes to the hubs at the same time, why not!
Post-It would love to share some of this recycled love with 3, that's right 3, of my lucky readers. What's up for grabs? Each winner will receive one pack of Post-it Recycled Notes and one pack of Post-it Super Sticky Recycled Notes. Woo hoo! Who's game?
Here's what you got to do, leave me a comment telling something, anything. You can tell me what you would use them for, you can tell me you think I am lame for writing Post-It love notes (if you do this I am not sure we can still be friends, lol), you can tell me your favorite color Post-It. You get the idea, LEAVE ME A COMMENT! I will let this run for one week and I will pick a winner and announce it next Wednesday. Now I love to make giveaways super easy so just leave me a comment however if you don't leave me an email address or a way to contact you too bad so sad bye, bye! I will pick another winner if your name is chosen.
Have fun and good luck!

The Story of the Sponsorship and a GIVEAWAY!

The contest is now CLOSED!
It all started at LM's birthday party when my dad mentioned a device so women could pee standing up. I made it my dream to find such a device and try it out. After a failed attempt resulting in me peeing my pants I had given up hope. Then I was contacted by the company Go Girl to try their product with the guarantee I wouldn't pee myself. I thought what the heck and gave it a try. Praise the lollipop it worked and I didn't pee myself (you can check out the review here).
After the review/giveaway was done a rep and I from Go Girl started to chat about BlogHer '09 and what a great opportunity it would be to spread the word about Go Girl since 90% of those attending are women. Well, a couple weeks later Go Girl graciously said they would sponsor me to attend BlogHer '09. However, when they went to buy tickets only Saturday was available but it didn't matter to me I was grateful to have the opportunity to go at all. Well, today the rep called me and they got notification from BlogHer that they had an available ticket to swap out if I wanted to go for both days. Guess what? They did! I am going to BlogHer on both Friday and Saturday. Then as a bonus because I swear they are awesome they are even sponsoring my hotel room for Friday night. Was I right? Awesome!
I have been blogging for a long while now and I have never come across a company quite like Go Girl. Seriously I cannot even begin to thank them enough. Three woman from the company are also attending the conference on Saturday because they understand and support bloggers. I want to do something to show them how great I think they are and how thankful I am for this opportunity. So I want to spread the word about how great they are and to do that I am bribing you with a $20 Target gift card. Please, please, please help me out with this:-) You can do any or all of the following:

  1. Follow @Go_Girls on twitter and leave me a comment with your twitter id saying that you are following them (I will check)
  2. Tweet @Go_Girls with a message about when you would use their product or what you think about a Go Girl. Leave me a comment with the tweet url.
  3. Tweet this giveaway and leave me the url for that tweet in the comment section (You can do this once a day, just leave a comment with each tweet url) You can tweet something like "Win a $20 Target gift card &help @midwestmommy http://mommyfromthemidwestreviews.blogspot.com/2009/04/story-of-sponsorship-and-giveaway.html" or something like that (it should fit)
  4. Visit Go Girl's blog and leave a positive comment for them about the Go Girl-after come back here and leave a comment telling me you did for your entry.
  5. If you want to write a post on your blog about this giveaway it is worth 5 entries. Just leave me five separate comments with the post url.
Please make sure you leave a valid email address so I can contact the winner. I will let this run til Monday April 20th and I will use some method to pick a random winner. The winner will have 48 hours to contact me before I choose another winner.
Thank you everyone in advance for helping me out with this. Go Girl has no idea I am running this and I am doing this all on my own as a way to say thank you. I didn't really know how else to show them how much I appreciate this great opportunity.

You Go Girl!

****************UPDATE*******************

Thank you Stacie for reminding me! Now I wasn't going to vlog how to use the Go Girl because well, I embarrass easily :-) But I have to tell you I am still wearing the same pants! I DID NOT pee all over myself like I did with the Shewee. It worked! The reason? Check out the photo below
The Shewee is narrow and has a smaller container area. The Go Girl is more shaped like a woman I guess you would say, also it has a little slit that prevents the vacuum effect which is why I think I peed my pants with the Shewee. So ladies! THIS WORKS! I swear to you I did not pee my pants and nor have to change them. Just think of the possibilities!

You know you want one or someone you know who might (daughter, sister, mother)! I am telling you it was a huge discussion at LM's birthday everyone wanted one, my aunts, my sisters, my mom and well my grandma just laughed at us. So if you watched the video you can see which product is better, my opinion Go Girl. Do you want one? You know you do? All you have to do is leave me a comment. Now, I was torn on how to handle the giveaway that was offered last week for the Shewee. How can I knowingly send someone a product when I know that I have found something better? So I have decided that if you entered the Shewee giveaway I will count those comments as an extra entry so you now have two chances to win. I will put your name in the hat twice if you commented on both posts when BG picks one.
Ok, got it? Leave me a comment to win the Go Girl by next Wednesday and I will pick a winner on Thursday. If you are the winner I will still send you the Shewee along with the Go Girl so you too can decide for yourself.
Ok, go comment. WIN!

Anyone want to Shewee with me?

How many of us women have ever had to go pee like no other only to walk into a filthy, disgusting, pubic hair, urine splattered bathroom? I have! I once held my pee for 23 hours in high school while driving to Disney with the band because of my fear of public bathrooms. I hate them! They gross me out. I always tell people it is better to hover and cover just in case you fall. That's right ladies, hover and cover!
So naturally when my dad was telling everyone at LM's birthday this weekend that he heard about a device so woman could pee standing up I was all ears.
As soon as I got home I was googling like mad, that's when I found the Shewee! It's true girls...WE CAN NOW PEE STANDING UP!Just think about it,
Camping with a group of friends...Shewee it!
Port-O-Potty...just Shewee it!
Walk into a dirty disgusting bathroom at a concert...Shewee it!
Long lines for the ladies room...Shewee at a urinal.

So guess what came in the mail today!!!!
My Shewee!!!!!
I am so pumped to try this thing out. I just drank lots of fluids with lunch so perfect timing!

15 minutes later....

I just got out of the shower. I had to shower because I PEED all over myself.
Yep, I peed all over myself. The best part is when BG saw my pants and kept asking me if I poopied! I guess this is why the directions say you should test it out in the shower a couple of times to get the correct angle. I have not given up hope but now I really have to plan when I am going to test this thing out because in the shower when you are all naked you could probably easily use this but when you are trying to use it by only unzipping your pants it can pose a problem with your technique. Oh and I have to mention I was very pee shy, it took a while for me to get going because I was standing up facing the toilet.
I really, really, really want this thing to work.
I have not given up hope and neither should you because Shewee sent me an extra one to giveaway to one of you lucky readers! I really think it is going to take a couple tries to get the angle right but when I do woo hoo! Look out! The reviews online are really good so it had to be my technique.
So if you are interested in giving it a try (maybe we can exchange techniques) leave a comment here. I will let this contest run for one week. Next Thursday I will announce the winner. Remember make sure I have a way to contact you and if you are the winner you must respond to me within 48 hours of the email.

Seal it with a Kiss!

I enjoy a huge variety of music. Heck, with the Hubs I am always exposed to different music all the time. The only music you won't find the Hubs exposing me to is country. He's not a big fan. There are a couple artists that we can agree on when driving in the car. Seal's Soul CD is one of them. He's on my Zune. It is just a great CD filled with relaxing music that no one can really turn down. You can preview the album down below. If you need some romantic music for your Valentine's Day plans this just might be the CD for you! Also you can check out Seal on PBS here. Now, do you want a chance to have a signed copy of his new CD Soul? Do you? Do you? Seal and the ONE2ONE Network would like to give one lucky winner a signed Soul CD!
Just leave me a comment here and you could win!! I am a big believer in giveaways should be fun and easy so that's all you have to do is leave me a comment, no tweeting, no linking, no following, just a comment :-)

Woo hoo and good luck!

He's Just Not That Into You!

I was super psyched when I was contacted by One2One Network to review the soundtrack for the new movie, "He's Just Not That Into You." When I got the CD last Friday I of course posed for a quick picture and then proceeded to rip it open and listen.
Right away I found one of my new favorite artists: Tristan Prettyman. Her song Madly on the CD is awesome. I instantly went and downloaded her albums on my Zune. Love it! So right off the bat I was super happy with the soundtrack.
The rest of the soundtrack is honestly really good. I would never lie to you. The kids and I listened to it a few times already and again while I was making dinner last night. BG could dance for hours. It has enough mix of music that you don't get bored and just feel like moving with it. Here is a list of all of the songs on the CD....awesome, right? 17 songs!

Now here is the super fun part! You have a chance to win one of these super cute hoodies and a copy of the soundtrack! That's right a hoodie and a CD! Woo hoo! Just leave me a comment right here and this hoodie in your size and the CD could be delivered right to your door. Because let's just face it we all have a couple girlfriends that we could really wear this "He's Just Not That Into You" hoodie for!
I forgot to mention since my birthday is Sunday! That's right, Happy Birthday Me! I will run this giveaway til my b-day! Winner will be announced on Monday. Woo hoo!!!
Update!!! I NEED A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS. IF I HAVE NO WAY OF CONTACTING YOU I WILL HAVE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER WINNER. IF YOU ARE THE WINNER AND YOU DON'T RESPOND TO ME WITHIN 48 HOURS I WILL PICK ANOTHER WINNER.

Winner!

First we did this...
Then I told BG to pick one.

And Erin from If You Give a Mom a Moment is the winner of our Eco Store giveaway! I want to thank all of you for entering. I will have another review/giveaway that will start in a little bit as soon as I get the post done.
Thanks again Eco Store and congrats Erin!

The Eco Store Review and Giveaway!

The Eco Store recently contacted me to try some of their cleaning products. After the flu was going around this house I needed all the help and disinfectant I could get so of course I said yes! The Eco Store is a company that makes plant based, non-toxic household cleaning, baby and personal care products that contain NO NASTY CHEMICALS. They are launching their products with the major grocery store Meijer.
The company rep Rand hooked me up with four of products to try out: dog shampoo, dishwash liquid, pu
re oxygen whitener and a spray cleaner. First off I loved the labels. I don't know why but the black and white pictures on the labels just looked so neat and clean to me. It just looks so much more natural.Ok, first I tried the dog shampoo. If you knew me in real life you would know that Cali has some serious issues. I believe i blogged about it here and here. She also is having some major skin irritation and can't stop itching her neck. The vet recommended a gentle shampoo and frequent baths would actually help so I was all about trying a natural dog shampoo.

Let me tell you...it smells yummy! Cali smells yummy too now. It has now been a couple hours since she had her bath and I have not heard her scratch yet. This is awesome because normally she is scratching all the time. I am going to keep my eye on her the rest of the day but I would say right now I would highly recommended this dog shampoo especially if your dog has sensitive skin.Next I tried the dishwash liquid. Now let me tell you I thought this was dishwasher liquid so I loaded up the dishwasher and went to put it in. I put one drop in and thought it looked funny for dishwasher liquid. This is when I read the directions and realized it was for the sink! I know, I am sometimes not the brightest crayon in the box. Once I put it in the right spot I couldn't believe the suds it made. It really worked great. I like to use it especially on the baby bottles and BG's cups. I just feel safer knowing that chemicals aren't being used.
Next I tried the spray cleaner. I am not sure it worked any better than my other spray cleaner but I felt better knowing I could put food on the counter without having to worry about it getting chemicals in it. I think that is the thing I like most about these products is that they are natural so I don't have to worry when I spray down the highchair for LM that he will be eating chemicals.
I made a mess while cooking last night and left it overnight to see how the spray cleaner would handle it (ok, let's admit it I was completely lazy and forgot to wipe down the counter by the stove). As you can see it worked! And lastly I tried the Pure Oxygen Whitener. I tried it on the Hubs undershirts. Honestly they are newer so I was wonder how much it could help. I put two tablespoons in, filled it with warm water, threw the shirts in and let them soak. The package did say for best results to let them soak overnight but I have about 8 other loads of laundry waiting so I let them soak for about 30 minutes.
I peeked in before I turned the machine on and I was impressed how dirty the water actually looked. There was nothing else in here but shirts, water and the Pure Oxygen Whitener.

When I took the shirts out they were a little noticeably whiter. I would like to try it with our socks overnight and see what happens. I will keep ya posted :-)

Now onto the fun stuff.

A GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!

The Eco Store is wanting one of your great people to try their products too so they are offering one lucky winner a choice of any TWO products from their site. So go check them out, pick out the two you would choose and come back here and leave me a comment telling me which ones you would want. Make sure I have an emailed address where I can contact you if you are the winner. The contest runs from now until Wednesday, February 4th. I just love his little Bumkin!

Doesn't LM just look too darn cute! The Mom Bloggers Club and Bumkins sent LM this cute outfit. As you can see it is just so cute. I think it will be perfect for opening presents Christmas morning . My favorite part, right here....

Look at that Bum! Love the pockets. Super soft and it has easy buttons for those quick bum changes. The only thing I do have to warn is the sizes may run small. LM is only 9 months old and the tag on this outfit says 24 months (I thought I had ordered 12 months). It is big on him and he has plenty of room to grow but I couldn't see it fitting BG earlier this year.
You can go to Bumkins site and check out all of there goodies. If you buy something enter the code grinch08 at the checkout and you will get a free Grinch Superbib and be entered into a drawing to win 4 Grinch ornaments.
Then you can be just as cute as LM.

Savorings Giveaway

Pillsbury recently contacted me to try their new Savorings. After this week's cooking disaster I was all for making something easy to eat. They come in three flavors: buffalo chicken, pepperoni/cheese, cheese/spinach. The hubs of course picked buffalo chicken. They were really good. They were a little bit smaller than I thought they would be but the taste made up for it. The great news is Pillsbury would like one of you to try them too. They are offering one coupon good for a Savorings of your choice plus a "Savoring the Moment" gift bag that will be mailed along with your coupon. All you have to do is leave a comment here telling me which flavor you will try and I will pick a random winner on Wednesday, October 29th. I will contact the winner via email so please make sure to leave a valid email address.
Good luck!
