The Eco Store recently contacted me to try some of their cleaning products. After the flu was going around
this house I needed all the help and disinfectant I could get so of course I said yes! The Eco Store is a company that makes plant based, non-toxic household cleaning, baby and personal care products that contain NO NASTY CHEMICALS. They are launching their products with the major grocery store Meijer.
The company rep Rand hooked me up with four of products to try out: dog shampoo, dishwash liquid, pure oxygen whitener and a spray cleaner. First off I loved the labels. I don't know why but the black and white pictures on the labels just looked so neat and clean to me. It just looks so much more natural.

Ok, first I tried the dog shampoo. If you knew me in real life you would know that Cali has some serious issues. I believe i blogged about it
here and
here. She also is having some major skin irritation and can't stop itching her neck. The vet recommended a gentle shampoo and frequent baths would actually help so I was all about trying a natural dog shampoo.
Let me tell you...it smells yummy! Cali smells yummy too now. It has now been a couple hours since she had her bath and I have not heard her scratch yet. This is awesome because normally she is scratching all the time. I am going to keep my eye on her the rest of the day but I would say right now I would highly recommended this dog shampoo especially if your dog has sensitive skin.Next I tried the dishwash liquid. Now let me tell you I thought this was dishwasher liquid so I loaded up the dishwasher and went to put it in. I put one drop in and thought it looked funny for dishwasher liquid. This is when I read the directions and realized it was for the sink! I know, I am sometimes not the brightest crayon in the box. Once I put it in the right spot I couldn't believe the suds it made. It really worked great. I like to use it especially on the baby bottles and BG's cups. I just feel safer knowing that chemicals aren't being used.

Next I tried the spray cleaner. I am not sure it worked any better than my other spray cleaner but I felt better knowing I could put food on the counter without having to worry about it getting chemicals in it. I think that is the thing I like most about these products is that they are natural so I don't have to worry when I spray down the highchair for LM that he will be eating chemicals.
I made a mess while cooking last night and left it overnight to see how the spray cleaner would handle it (ok, let's admit it I was completely lazy and forgot to wipe down the counter by the stove). As you can see it worked!

And lastly I tried the Pure Oxygen Whitener. I tried it on the Hubs undershirts. Honestly they are newer so I was wonder how much it could help. I put two tablespoons in, filled it with warm water, threw the shirts in and let them soak. The package did say for best results to let them soak overnight but I have about 8 other loads of laundry waiting so I let them soak for about 30 minutes.
I peeked in before I turned the machine on and I was impressed how dirty the water actually looked. There was nothing else in here but shirts, water and the Pure Oxygen Whitener.

When I took the shirts out they were a little noticeably whiter. I would like to try it with our socks overnight and see what happens. I will keep ya posted :-)
Now onto the fun stuff.
